TRIMMING SKIRTINGS IN SITUE TO AVOID REMOVAL AND RE-FIXING...
Cutting skirting...
When we lay new floors over existing or over concreted areas, we under-cut the skirtings to allow the flooring materials to pass below keeping the finished look nice and neat...
Tables... As you can see from above we are now venturing into the world of table tops. If you have a top thats been abused above repair then why not ask us about a possible re-vamp. We reckon you will be impressed!
POSSIBLE SIGNS OF WOODWORM... Woodworm Treatment... If you are unaware of any treatment on your wooden floors or worried that you may have a live and active infestation, then SLS Ltd will be only too glad to assist. Floor boards are strategically removed for access, the treatment sprayed to the complete under floor and the boards replaced.
ALL SORTS OF DEBRIS IN BETWEEN THE FLOOR BOARD GAPS... Raking Out... Before gaps in previously filled and prepared floorboards can be filled, all the existing loose filler must be raked out and removed. Debris built up over the years can also be removed by raking out which takes considerable time and effort...
I'M NOT SURE IF I WANT A NATURAL PINE COLOUR OR POSSIBLY CHANGE IT ALL TOGETHER... Colour Samples... Coloured lacquer can be applied during finishing coats, often to tone down the 'orangey effect' that appears with some pine floors, This 'orangey effect' tends to appear once coated with clear lacquer. Alternatively you may like to adjust the colour slightly to compliment a piece of furniture, or to create an effect identified within a magazine perhaps. These coloured lacquers are best shown over your actual floor once a primer has been applied, as the original colour will show through and have a substantial affect on the final tone. PLEASE NOTE: Dark tones and colours can only be created using a dye/stain which will require over night drying time!
