In this section we explain the solving of problems you may encounter with your floors once uncovered from many years beneath carpet...
But fear not, the SLS team have an answer for most things and pretty much any floor in any state can be revitalised and look as good as new!
1 - You have removed an internal wall and the floor boards do not line up !
2 - You have removed the carpets and there maybe signs of woodworm !
3 - Your floor boards have gaps between them, is this a problem?
4 - There's all sorts of debris down between the floor board gaps !
5 - The floor boards have been previously painted, is this a problem?
6 - Beneath your carpet lies an old parquet floor, intact but looks really old. Is it worth sanding and varnishing ?
7 - My parquet floor has loose blocks !
8 - There's been some work carried out and some of my parquet blocks are damaged and missing !
9 - I'm not sure if I want my pine floor in a natural colour or changed to a different colour !
11 - I will be decorating the rest of the room, should I do this before or after the floors are renovated ?
12 - We have removed and blocked off our fire place, but there's a big ugly piece of concrete in amongst the floor boards !
13 - We have a redundant 'hot-air' heating system from the 60's and the vents are still in the floor. If I have my parquet floor sanded and finished, can I do away with these eye sores?
